Stories from Hackfeld Road - First PTN/SP house

The first year in Psi Theta Nu's first house, we had an old front loader washing machine in the basement.  But the vibration of the spin cycle would cause it to walk across the cellar floor until it pulled its own plug.  The first attempt to fix the problem by our group of aspiring engineers  was to put a blanket on top of the washer and ride it.

The Legend that was Joe Wetnicka, Sigma Pi Cook

So it must have been my junior year (‘68) and I had this old Karmann Ghia (Volkswagen sports car...lol!) that could no way pass MA Yearly car inspection. It had rusted out wheel wells and the floor boards were a little soft in areas. My dad was an insurance adjuster and found me the car and I paid all of $300 for it. Money was real tight back then! At least it ran!
