As noted in this year's Gamma Iota, Summer Outing is scheduled for August 18th, and coming up quick. This email is meant to serve as a reminder and an invitation all in one. We're trying something new this year and combining the Summer Outing along with Doug ('95) and Melissa Alexander's now-world famous Oktoberfest party into a single day/evening event sure to be a good time. The Summer Outing portion of the day will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with a PTN Board of Trustees meeting occurring at 11:30 am. Lot's of good food and drink will be on hand. At 2:00 pm the festivities will morph into Oktoberfest with live music and a number of adult-oriented activities.

While your entire family is welcome for Summer Outing, the PTN Board and Doug and Melissa ask that you find accommodations for your children and/or pets from 2:00 pm and onward for the Oktoberfest portion and its more risqué themes. Check out the Alexander's Oktoberfest web page for directions and other pertinent info. Be sure to sign up for their email list to stay appraised of any future Oktoberfest news and to help out with determining a headcount.

I have moved the website to a 3rd party hosting site (dreamhost.com). It seems like most everything is working, but let me know if you find any problems. Just post a comment to the story if you find something.

I decided to do something productive with my vacation time between the holidays and was working on fixing some lingering problems with the website (like being able to add new members properly)...unfortunately I was a bit overzealous.

This is to inform all members of Psi Theta Nu and Sigma Pi Fraternity, Gamma Iota Chapter, that the "Annual Meeting" of Psi Theta Nu Fraternity Inc. will be on Saturday Oct. 7, 2006 from 1:00-2:30 PM at Psi Theta Nu headquarters, 17 Dean Street, Worcester, MA. This meeting will be held during Homecoming. All members of Psi Theta Nu and Sigma Pi Fraternity, Gamma Iota Chapter, are encouraged to attend.

We are changing DNS providers this weekend. Hopefully there should not be any interuption in service, but things don't always go as planned. We are switching to DNS Made Easy which is a company we use at my work. I have been very pleased with their service and are cheaper than other Dynamic DNS providers.
